The Hug Project helps children and youth that risk or already have been subject to violence and exploitation.

Boom Bean is the Director of the Hug Project. HUG is a northern Thai word meaning 'love'. 

The Hug Project focusses on protecting children from violence and exploitation. Boom was nominated for the US Secretary of State’s Award for International Women of Courage 2014 in Combatting trafficking-in-persons in northern Thailand.
