LYRICS
Verse 1
just another normal day is how these stories all start
did her moms a favor made a late trip to Walmart
lil cuz save her place in line
she ain't wanna waste her time
she didn't think they would mind
so much she'd have to face a crime
she tried to explain why and
they claimed she was lying
her change they denied it
they were so racist minded
they called the police like a beast had emerged
but the only peace that was disturbed was hers
no criminal record in college to be a doctor
but she was just a nigger to these ignorant coppers
they gripped her lifted her off her feet and dropped her
head first on the car hand cuffed her and locked her
And to the shock of her family and the witnesses
she was charged with assaulting police and resiting them
the difference when you black just the claim that ya yellin
can turn a preacher's daughter to a dangerous felon
so I tell em
Verse 2
So much fun she had at the homecoming dance
930 she got to leave to get a ride from her dad
saw a friend runnin past he asked her come and grab
a little something that would last the party's jumpin in the back
she laughed this was her chance to hang with the cool kids
the older guys ones she didn't even go to school with
but the rule is to never drink with strangers
I wish that I was there so I could tell her she's in danger
that those who she thought were good fellas would sedate her
beat her and gang rape her and they would forever change her
with hatred and anger for 2 and a half hours
they brutalized her worse than pouring acid on a flower
the madness empowered by a mob so heartless
they watched and took pictures as she sobbed in the darkness
even if there arrested and they all get charges
how can they understand right and wrong with no conscious
when you're a target
Verse 3
Little girl with all kinda a goals
author on the honor roll
but pain was behind her soul
cause what she would find at home
mom high in a zone
Dad said bye he gone
Grown men tryin to bone
They wonder why she violent prone
at age 13 this n*gga pimp took her innocence
Finished it told her she's his ho go get his chips
or he would hit her quick backhands split her lip
had plans to slit her wrists
can you imagine living this?
giving this pimp 3 years of ya life
just to live one day without fear would you fight?
so she killed this monster who had no right livin
and at age 16 her sentence was life in prison
then I look into the eyes of my daughter
like how can I describe the horror that lies before her
times shorter and tellin lies is the order
plus we shut our eyes to lullabies from the cries of the tortured
you ought ta
